About me

My research interests revolve around understanding the structure of language as shaped by the properties of the cognitive system. Put differently, I aim to learn about the cognitive system by learning about the language. I investigate the relation between language on the one hand and memory and learning on the other hand by focusing both on intra-linguistic distributional information and the links between language and perceptual experiences. My research is guided by the desire to describe and understand the immense sensitivity of the cognitive system to probabilities in the environment in general and language in particular.
